Programs/Courses
Offered/Course Costs Occupational Objective: The courses objective is to protect the public by instructing the student in the practice of real estate. The Broker Pre-Licensing Program would allow the student to acquire an entry level position with a real estate broker. The school will also fulfill the continuing educational qualifications for the advancements in their career. All courses and programs are available in classroom or via correspondence. Certificate Programs Awarded REC-33 Programs: Program A, 168 Hours Course 110, Broker Associate Program - This course is for the individual with no prior real estate education. Student must pass the entire broker exam. Program B, 120 Hours Course 120, Broker Program - This course is for the current salesperson licensed within two years of applying for the Colorado Brokers' license. Student must pass the entire broker exam. Program C, 72 Hours Course 172, Broker Program - This course is for the licensed broker from another state applying for the Colorado Brokers' license. Student must pass the Colorado State section of the Broker license exam.
Individual Courses: Law & Practice: This course is designed to include the following topics of real property, government controls and laws of the real estate practice, valuation and appraisal, finance for real estate, contract agency, and the settlements of a closing for real estate. This course is 48 hours (12 Lessons). Text Book Required: Modern Real Estate Practice Additional Support Text: Current Colorado Real Estate Manual Course Cost: $250 Colorado Real Estate Contracts and Regulations: This course is designed to include the topics of Colorado statutory relations, regulations, brokerage relationship agreements, sales and listing contracts and additional real estate forms and procedures. This course is 48 hours (12 Lessons). Text Book Required: Current Colorado Real Estate Manual. Additional Support Text: Real Estate Dictionary Course Cost: $250 Closings: This course is designed to include the topics of a six column worksheet, the broker's-buyer's-seller's responsibilities for a closing, preparing a contract closing, and legal documents involved with closings. This course is 24 hours (6 Lessons). Text Book Required: Current Colorado Real Estate Manual. Additional Support Text: Real Estate Dictionary Course Cost: $175 Record Keeping and Trust Accounts: This course is designed to include the areas of real estate pertaining to record keeping, termination of relationship-broker-buyer-seller, and legal requirements. This course is 8 hours (2 Lessons). Text Book Required: Current Colorado Real Estate Manual. Additional Support Text: Real Estate Dictionary Course Cost: $75 Current Legal Issues: This course is designed to include topics in the areas of disciplinary proceedings, federal and state case and statutory law, regulations and policies within the industry. This course is 8 hours (2 Lessons). Text Book Required: Current Colorado Real Estate Manual. Additional Support Text: Real Estate Dictionary Course Cost: $75 Practical Applications: This course is designed to include topics in the areas of beginning your real estate career, marketing plans, presentation preparation for a listing contact and buyers contract, closing questions and concerns, and resource aids for the market.
